Both Christian counselling and secular counselling share the same desire to help people overcome their problems, find meaning and joy in life, and become healthy and well-adjusted individuals, both mentally and emotionally.
Counselling from a Christian perspective uses God's Word as the source of truth and wisdom about human nature, marriage and family, and human suffering.
I am a professionally trained counsellor with an expertise in Biblically-based counselling. Christian Counselling is available if it is requested. I respect every client's right to their own belief system and will not intrude on those rights.
All services are confidential and are provided in a friendly and safe environment.
My work is supervised by a registered psychologist. This means that your sessions may be covered by your work insurance plan. Check your work insurance plan to see whether you have full or partial coverage for services provided by a registered psychologist or registered psychotherapist.
When Christian Counselling is requested I will endeavor to:
uphold and follow the morals of the Christian faith as well as the code of ethics of the governing body of my profession, The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
view every person as created in the image of God.
place God's Word, the Bible, as the foundation for the counselling offered within my office, while integrating science and psychological research and techniques that are proven to be clinically effective.
seek God's Word as the final authority in counselling when a conflict arises between psychology and theology.
speak the truth in love and with grace, while illuminating the way to freedom from strongholds which is found in Jesus Christ.
teach and model healthy ways for individuals, couples, and families to relate to and love others.
