My work with individuals and families began over thirty-five years ago. I have a Master of Divinity degree from Tyndale Seminary, Toronto, where I majored in Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy. In addition to being a Registered Psychotherapist, I am also a certified teacher in Ontario with a Specialist in Special Education. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they work through difficult life situations and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
My personal journey of healing has provided insight into the courage and commitment it takes for clients to engage in their own healing journey. I bring compassion, calm, and wisdom to client sessions which provides a safe and supportive therapeutic setting for growth and healing. A client-centred and integrative approach is used when I work with individuals, couples, and families. My clinical focus encompasses mood and anxiety disorders, family of origin issues, couple conflict, parenting challenges, life transitions, trauma, abuse, and emotional/relational distress.
Outside of my work as a therapist I have experienced both the joys and challenges of marriage and raising a family with my husband of over 35 years. I deeply value my faith and cherish time connecting with my adult children and grandchildren. I make time to relax and refresh by being in nature, watching movies, reading, cooking, and listening to worship music.
